SPARK 3.0, the closing ceremony of the annual technical fest ‘TECNOESIS’ of NIT Silchar was held on 7th October 2013 in the NIT Silchar campus. It was headlined by “PURPLE FUSION”- a four piece fusion band from Nagaland, who enthralled the audience with their original Naga fusion numbers, as well as a few Bollywood song covers. Vocalist Lamtsala, with her mesmerizing and powerful voice, won the hearts of all the students from her first song itself, Imsanger’s guitar riffs became a cornersome, while Mhathung’s bass grooves and Temsu’s beats made everyone lost in the beauty of their music.
Overall it was an epic evening with Naga fusion songs and Bollywood music in the form of Jazz and Blues, as the audience enjoyed the uniquely diverse music style. Purple Fusion is definitely promoting the rich tradition and culture of Nagaland through their music. They have won the hearts of the future engineers and has created quite a rave among the them.
